The Humane Society of Rowan County will present Lights of Love around the Salisbury City Lake on Friday evening.
Lights of Love is a luminaria display held annually by the HSRC in celebration of Be Kind to Animals Week and in honor or in memory of loved ones, both people and pets. The lights glow from dusk until 9:30 p.m.
Those wishing to recognize their loved ones with a luminaria may call 704-636-5700 until 4 p.m. on Friday or may come to the Salisbury City Park by the lake and add to the registry of names on Friday evening. A donation of $3 per luminaria is requested.
The Humane Society of Rowan County is a nonprofit volunteer animal welfare organization dependent upon donations and foster care homes for the care of sick or injured stray and abandoned animals. The organization collaborates with local veterinarians to offer reduced cost spay and neuter clinics to the public.
