Tree of Hope lighting ceremony is Dec. 1

The Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Auxiliary will celebrate its 41st Annual Tree of Hope Lighting Service on Monday evening, Dec. 1, at 5.

One of the oldest giving traditions in Rowan County, the Tree of Hope project offers a way to honor or memorialize someone during the holiday season.

A donation of $10 adds a light to the tree located in the main courtyard of the hospital.

Persons honored or family members of persons memorialized receive a card from the auxiliary. Those persons are listed in the newspaper, as well as a full page near the end of the year acknowledging those who made donations.

Contributions may be sent to NHRMC Auxiliary, c/o Teresa McKinney, 4845 Miller Road, Salisbury, NC, 28147 or turned in at the hospital gift shop. Forms are available to indicate those who will be honored and how the card sent to them should read.

Proceeds from this project go directly to programs that enhance patient morale and comfort, as well as family support.
