Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer, you say? Tell that to the weather. We are right back in that pattern of hot, humid days with a slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
Despite the oppressive humidity, we’ll have good air quality through at least Thursday.
Today, we’ll be up in the 90s again, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 91. A slight breeze from the southwest this afternoon won’t help much. We have a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Tonight, the chance rises to 40 percent, mainly before midnight, with a low around 70.
Wednesday’s 30 percent chance of showers and storms will be mainly after 2 p.m., with mostly sunny skies and a high of 90. Wednesday night has the same chance of rain, with a low around 69.
For Thursday, look for 88 under mostly sunny skies with a 30 percent chance of precipitation, which carries over into Thursday night, when the low will be around 68.
No change Friday, with a high of 88 and a 30 percent chance of rain; the low will be around 69.
What about the weekend? Well, it’s just like all the other days of the week. The high Saturday will be 88, under mostly sunny skies, 30 percent chance of showers and storms. The low will be around 68.
The chance of rain increases Sunday to 50 percent, with partly sunny skies and a high near 84. That 50 percent continues into Sunday night, when the low will be 66.
Monday will be cooler, though mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. Chance of showers and storms will be 30 percent.
