Beginning next week, N.C. Department of Transportation crews will repair a bridge in the 500 block of Peeler Road over Town Creek, between I-85 and South Main Street near Salisbury.
Starting Monday, Aug. 11, at 8 a.m., bridge maintenance crews will close the bridge for repair work. Construction will be completed, weather permitting, by Friday, Aug. 15, at 5 p.m.
During the repair work, drivers will use I-85 south, Webb Road, South Main Street and Peeler Road as a detour route. Local traffic will be able to access homes and businesses from either end of Peeler Road, but will not be able to pass beyond the closure points on either side of Town Creek.
