Cabarrus College of Health Sciences Information Resource Center, located on the campus of Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast, will host a traveling exhibit from the United States National Library of Medicine.
Aug. 4 through Sept. 13, the six-banner “Harry Potter’s World: Renaissance Science, Magic and Medicine” will be on display from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The exhibit was created to explore the link between Harry Potter and the history of sciences using materials from the National Library of Medicine. There is no charge to see the exhibit.

Haley Shore of Landis was elected State FFA Vice president on June 19 at the 86th State FFA Convention. She will serve a one year term of service.
Over the next year, she will serve as an ambassador for youth, agriculture and education. She will travel more than 100 days visiting FFA chapters, meeting with agribusiness leaders and representing the North Carolina FFA Assocation in various state and national meetings.
Shore is the daughter of Mark Shore and Julie Beaver. She is a graduate of South Rowan High School where Laura Allen and David Overcash were her agricultural education and FFA instructors.
