Canine therapists help exam stress at Catawba College

Final exams can make for a stressful time, but Catawba College officials have found a way to help students relax just a bit — a furry, tail-wagging way. On Wednesday, the first day of exams, the college welcomed a group of therapy dogs on campus. They gathered in the Stanback Plaza and the students gathered around, relieving that stress one pet and lick at a time. Exams end Tuesday, and Catawba holds it graduation exercises May 16. The therapy dogs made sure that getting to that point wouldn’t be so, er, “ruff” for the students. And they sure looked happy to help.
