Government leaders don’t know what they don’t know

The answer to our problems according to liberal Democrats is to throw more money at the problem. Well, Obama has been doing just that; his “world view” is for more government programs that redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor. Worse, he thinks everything is just rosy, the economy is recovering. It may very well look that way to him as he campaigns about the country in Air Force One. You really can’t tell much about the country at 20 or 30 thousand feet.

The truth is – it is not working. What people need is not a handout from government but a job. Christmas season hiring was used as an example of how things are getting better. Now that the season is over I wonder just how many of these newly hired people will still be working? We will see in coming months.

President Obama has wielded his mighty pen with an executive order to lower mortgage rates for houses people can’t afford in the first place. I predict we will see more foreclosures because what people need, and I repeat, is a job!   The people don’t need free education at community colleges for jobs that are not there, but what they do need is and I repeat is a job.

The redistribution of wealth does not make the poor better off. Self respect is not enhanced by a government handout or a new program. A job does more for the individual and creates a feeling of independence, respect and self worth.

The problem is that the leadership in government doesn’t know that they don’t know. Higher taxes will not create more jobs, just more government hand outs and government programs. Why do we keep going around in circles when what we need are more jobs for the people?
