Staff report
Salisbury Police say an elderly woman was locked in her home in the former Cone Mill neighborhood by her caregiver.
Police reports said an officer on foot patrol just before 11 a.m. Sunday heard the woman knocking from inside the house. The door was locked from the outside.
Her caregiver, who arrived at the house while authorities were at the scene, told police the woman had been locked in to keep her from wandering away, the report said.
The investigation continues.
