On Friday, Uncle Buck’s became the latest restaurant to open in downtown Salisbury, at 115 E. Innes St.
The restaurant serves a wide variety of American food, including signature wraps, “dawgs,” hamburgers, steak, seafood, chicken, salads and numerous appetizers, sides and desserts.
It also has a children’s menu.
Uncle Buck’s had been operating for about 11/2 years at 929 S. Main St. before making the move to the central business district, where it occupies the entire first floor of the renovated space at 115 E. Innes St.
Scott Howard is the restaurant owner. Jon Howard, his son, said the restaurant hopes to play a part in bringing more life to the downtown.
“I really like the location,” Jon Howard said.
Uncle Buck’s will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday-Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
Michael and Diane Young own the building and renovated the space.
The restaurant’s name comes from conversations the Howards once had with possible investors when it was mentioned that opening a restaurant would take a rich uncle with a lot of bucks.
