Pfeiffer University will again honor and celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the weeklong Servant Leadership Week 2008 Jan. 19 ń24.
This year’s theme “Get Involved” will feature a variety of speakers, volunteer events and activities that will encourage students and citizens to get involved in their respective communities.
Sponsored by the Francis Center for Servant-Leadership, the week will begin with Pfeiffer’s first MLK Challenge Day, made possible by a grant received through the North Carolina Campus Compact from the Points of Light Foundation.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in several service projects on and off campus throughout the day and are each challenged to give an additional 100 hours of community service throughout 2008.
