Bojangles’ Restaurants said this week it has launched an in-store donation program to raise money for the families of Victor Isler and Justin Monroe, the firefighters who died March 7 while fighting a five-alarm blaze at Salisbury Millwork.
Customers at participating Bojangles’ restaurants will be able to make $1 or $5 donations, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to support the families of the firefighters, the company said in a press release.
Donations can be made at the following Bojangles’ locations:
– 901 E. Innes Street, Salisbury;
– 1939 W. Jake Alexander Blvd., Salisbury;
– 1301 S. Cannon Blvd., Kannapolis;
– 310 N. Salisbury Avenue, Spencer;
– 1115 Copperfield Blvd., Concord;
– 418 W. Church Street, Richfield.
Customers making a donation will receive a “Hero Card” displaying the fire department shield in honor of Isler and Monroe. Donors can take the card with them or have it displayed at the restaurant.
“We salute the bravery of these two firefighters and would like to do what we can to support their families during this difficult time,” said Randy Kibler, Bojangles’ president and chief executive officer. “We urge the community to show its continued support for the families of these fallen heroes.”
The program began Monday and will continue through April 6. The fund was set up through the Elizabeth Hanford Dole Chapter of the American Red Cross.
