Two charged in altercations at detention center

Two inmates at the Rowan County Detention Center face charges of assault with a deadly weapon or assault inflicting serious injury. Nicholas Termaine McCrary, 33, and Kiaya Carlton Jackson, 25, were both charged on Aug. 24 after each of the men, at two separate times, engaged in an altercation with another inmate, causing serious injury to the victim. The victim was the same in both altercations, according to reports.

• A burglary involving property damage on Furniture Drive reportedly occurred between noon Aug. 16 and 10:29 a.m. Aug. 22.

• A burglary of a property on Pecan Lane reportedly occurred about 2:30 p.m. Aug. 22.

• A larceny from a property on Longbriar in Mooresville reportedly occurred about 8:45 a.m. Aug. 24.

• A larceny from a property on Old Mocksville Road reportedly occurred about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 24.

• Wendy Michelle Wallace, 41, was arrested Aug. 22 and charged with resist, obstruct or delay of a public officer.

• Tiahja Tanae Young, 23, was arrested Aug. 22 and charged with simple assault.

• Clayton Travis Brown, 38, was arrested Aug. 22 and charged with causing injury to personal property.

• Zarrek Skyler Barger, 24, was arrested Aug. 23 and charged with probation violation and resist, obstruct or delay of a public officer.

• Brenda Oshon Richardson, 35, was arrested Aug. 24 and charged with accessing computers or artifice to defraud, obtaining property by false pretenses, altering or forging certificate registration application, false affidavit/perjury to obtain N.C. title.

Salisbury Police reports

• A theft from a motor vehicle from Gold Hill Drive reportedly occurred between midnight and 4 a.m. Aug. 23. Total estimated loss was $100.

• A report of property damage from a hit and run on East Innes Street reportedly occurred about 6:53 p.m. Aug. 23.

• A report of tampering with a motor vehicle on Newsome Road reportedly occurred between 3 p.m. Aug. 21 and 1 p.m. Aug. 22.

• A larceny from a motor vehicle on Wedgewood Drive reportedly occurred about 11 p.m. Aug. 23. Total estimated loss was $175.

• Property damage from a hit and run on South Arlington Street reportedly occurred between 9:45 and 10:14 a.m. Aug. 24.

• An attempt to steal a motor vehicle from Ludwick Avenue reportedly occurred sometime between 7 p.m. Aug. 24 and 5:27 a.m. Aug. 25.

• Property damage on West 15th Street reportedly occurred about 6:05 a.m. Aug. 25.

• A larceny from a property on South Milford Drive reportedly occurred between 10:50 a.m. Aug. 21 and 7:45 p.m. Aug. 25. Total estimated loss was $900.

• Jeremiah Emmanuel Billingslea, 28, was arrested Aug. 23 and charged with resist, obstruct or delay of a public officer.

• Timothy Mickel Brown, 64, was arrested Aug. 24 and charged with misdemeanor larceny.

• Telvin Maurice Morgan, 33, was arrested Aug. 24 and charged with misdemeanor being intoxicated and disruptive.

• Cajuan Ali Thomas, 39, was arrested Aug. 25 and charged with misuse of the 911 system and carrying a concealed weapon.
