Voices Across the Divide: Art & Soul Rowan celebrate cultural diversity

SALISBURY — Art & Soul Rowan is inviting the public to a free arts event on Saturday evening.
“Voices Across the Divide: Celebrating Cultural Diversity through the Arts” will take place at the former Center for Faith & the Arts, 204 W. Harrison, Salisbury, from 6-9 p.m.
Musicians, award-winning poets, and visual artists will celebrate with exhibits and performances. The lineup includes: Jay Ward, Poet Laurette of Charlotte; Shane Manier, award-winning poet and founder of Guerilla Poets; Boris “Bluz” Rogers, Emmy-award winning poet; Eric “Zoot” Payne, local saxophone player who has toured nationally with Audioform, Grove8 and others; Luvleeh, Soulful poet who combines poetry and music for a unique storytelling experience; Drum Circle with Caleb Hill, our newest Artist in Residence and local musician and songwriter.
