The Carolina Artists guild will be having a fun summer meeting Thursday, June 20, at St. John’s Lutheran Church (100 North Jackson St. entrance) in Salisbury. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for meeting and refreshments, program starts at 7 p.m.
The June program will feature a member “show and tell.” Members will bring up to three examples of their art to be on display and will share information on their art. Members can ask questions. Many of the paintings will be available for purchase.
As the year progresses, the guild is planning many fun events, including informative and interactive mini workshops for the new year. The 2024 Art Expo is scheduled for September at the Salisbury Civic Center. The show is a three-day show. All artwork will be judged and cash awards will be awarded to the artists.
Rhonjlin Hampton Cardwell, a Carolina Artists member, is conducting a complimentary Summer Fun Children’s Art Workshop during June and July. Several members are volunteering to teach a class. The workshop was offered to 20 youth artists. The goal of the workshop is to promote the love of art and to develop creativity and basic skills necessary to be an artist.
June is the perfect time to join the Carolina Artists. The guild welcomes new members to learn, create and share art. Artists, photographers and art lovers are encouraged attend monthly meetings. Guests are always welcome.
