High school boys tennis: Salisbury’s Jarrell leads All-CCC team

Salisbury freshman AJ Jarrell was named Central Carolina Conference Player of the Year for boys tennis.

Jarrell played as the No. 1 seed for the Hornets in singles and doubles and was a state qualifier in doubles, teaming with Gray Davis.

Salisbury went undefeated in CCC play and reached the fourth round of the 2A dual team state playoffs.

In addition to Jarrell, four Hornets made the All-CCC team — brothers Gray and Bryant Davis, Reid Hlavacek and Soyer Cornelison.
