SALISBURY — Police are investigating after a CBD dispensary in Salisbury reported that over $5,000 worth of products were stolen on Friday.

Officers were called to the Higher Ark dispensary, located in the 100 block of North Merritt Avenue, on Friday in reference to a past breaking and entering, said Sergeant Justin Crotty, a spokesperson for the Salisbury Police Department. When they arrived on scene, they reportedly spoke with an investor in the company, who said that he had gone to check on the store on Saturday and noticed that a front window had been left open.

The investor then closed the window and went to check on the inventory in the store and discovered that more than 800 pre-roll cannabis cigarettes and two tablets had been stolen from the storeroom, said Crotty. Officers reportedly did not notice any signs that the building had been broken into.

The investor told police that the storeroom was locked and only a select few employees had the ability to unlock the room, noting that an employee who was fired recently had that ability, according to Crotty. The security camera system in the building had been temporarily disabled by an employee who recently quit.
