Staff report

Regional champion Salisbury is expected to be one of the teams contending for the 2A state championship in boys golf.

The 36-hole tournament will be held at Stonebridge Golf Club in Monroe for the first time. Stonebridge was the site for the girls 2A state championship last fall.

East Rowan’s Landon Merrell and Jaden Sprinkle and West Rowan’s Tyler Kepley were individual qualifiers for the 3A championships that will be held at Longleaf Golf and Family Club in Southern Pines, a familiar venue for state events.

The 1A tournament will be contested at 7 Lakes Golf Club in West End. The 4A state tournament will be held on Pinehurst No. 9.
