HARRISBURG — A seventh-place finish by A.L. Brown’s baseball team in the seven-team 4A Greater Metro Conference was frustrating, but not discouraging.

Hickory Ridge (13-11) pounded the Wonders 12-0 and 11-1 in March.

Drew Ryan earned a save.

Next for the Wonders is third-seeded South Iredell.

A.L. Brown’s softball team ended its season with a 14-5 tournament loss to Lake Norman.

The Wonders (5-15) were in it a long time, but the Wildcats got the bats going in the fifth and sixth.
