High school baseball: Hornets beat Cavs; teams will play again in first round of CCC tourney on Monday

SPENCER — Salisbury’s baseball team won 22-8 against North Rowan on Friday in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Mike Geter was the winning pitcher and added two hits at the plate.

Evan Koontz had two hits, including a homer.

Hank Webb had two hits and drove in four runs.

The Hornets (13-10, 7-5) tied for third place in the Central Carolina Conference with Thomasville, while North Rowan (3-13, 2-10) was sixth in the seven-team league.

Salisbury and North will play again on Monday in the 3 vs. 6 game in the CCC Tournament.

First pitch at Salisbury is set for 6 p.m.
