SALISBURY — The Rowan Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Power In Partnership (PIP) speaker will be Dr. Jonathan Fisher on Thursday at 7:30 a.m. at Trinity Oaks, 728 Klumac Road. The title of his speech is “A Cardiologist’s Guide to Healing, Health and Happiness.”

April PIP sponsor is Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Fisher’s mission is to help others train the mind and heal the heart.

He is a Mount Sinai and Harvard-trained cardiologist, mindfulness meditation teacher, and organizational well-being and resiliency leader. He has delivered keynotes and workshops on the mind-heart connection, heartful leadership, stress mastery and total well-being for teams and organizations globally, including IBM, Bank of America, IE Business School, The American College of Lifestyle Medicine, universities and healthcare organizations.

In 2020, he co-founded the Ending Clinician Burnout Global Community and organized the world’s first global summit dedicated to ending burnout in healthcare, with over a thousand participants from 43 countries.

His first book, ”Just One Heart: A Cardiologist’s Guide to Healing, Health and Happiness” is about harnessing the power of the mind-heart connection.

The last PIP of this season is on May 16 and features the Leadership Rowan graduation with a noted leadership speaker: Men Tchaas Ari from Charlotte. The Power in Partnership series will take a break for the summer and resume in September. The chamber’s Power Card will once again be offered for those who would like to take advantage of the PIP frequent attender program. Power Card holders receive a discounted price for the series and do not have to make a reservation each month.

The chamber’s breakfast programs average over 120 attendees each month. Sponsors will have the exclusive marketing rights to the banquet room and provide a five-minute sponsor profile on their company. Partner agencies will share updates with the local business leaders and address issues of concern for the entire region. The Leadership Rowan Class will start its day at the breakfast and then venture out for each day’s session focused on a different aspect of the community.

If you are not a Power Card holder, individual reservations are welcome; however, the reservation deadline is Tuesday by 5 p.m. The cost is $20 for members and $40 for non-members. The price includes the cost of breakfast and the program. Contact the chamber for information on reservations or sponsorship opportunities at 704-633-4221 or info@rowanchamber.com.
