In Salisbury Police Department reports:

  • Miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 400 block of South Jackson Street between 7 p.m. on April 2 and 8 a.m. on April 3. It was reported on April 5.
  • Miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 1300 block of Peeler Road at 9:40 a.m. on April 5.
  • A hit and run causing property damage occurred in the 1300 block of Klumac Road at 11:45 a.m. on April 5.
  • A hit and run causing property damage occurred in the 100 block of Crawford Street between 7 p.m. on April 4 and 11:15 a.m. on April 5.
  • Shoplifting occurred in the 700 block of East Innes Street at 4:10 p.m. on April 5. The total estimated loss was $13.
  • Miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 200 block of West D Avenue at 4:35 p.m. on April 5.
  • Assault with a dangerous weapon occurred in the 1400 block of East Innes Street at 3:30 p.m. on April 5.
  • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 1100 block of Forestdale Drive between 8:39 a.m. on April 4 and 5:29 p.m. on April 5. The total estimated loss was $70.
  • An attempted theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 400 block of Woodson Street at 1:40 a.m. on April 6.
  • A hit and run causing property damage occurred at the Jake Alexander Boulevard South and Interstate 85 North intersection at 5:50 a.m. on April 6.
  • A larceny occurred in the 1900 block of West Innes Street between 5:14 p.m. on March 30 and 8 a.m. on March 31. It was reported on April 6. The total estimated loss was $100.
  • Affray occurred in the 100 block of South Jackson Street at 7:10 p.m. on April 6.
  • An assault occurred in the 900 block of Bendix Drive at 9:30 p.m. on April 7.
  • Jennifer Patricia Merkwa, 30, was charged with felony forgery of bank notes on April 6.
  • Stephen Antwuan Mashore, 45, was charged with possession of an open container of alcohol in the passenger area on April 6.
  • Melquan Shamell Torrence, 35, was charged with assault on a female on April 8.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

  • A larceny from a building occurred at Courtney Lane between 11:43 a.m. on April 1 and 11:43 a.m. on April 6. It was reported on April 7.
  • Possession of drugs occurred in the Rowan County Detention Center at 10:10 p.m. on April 7.
  • Brandon Lamar Hamilton, 45, was charged with resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer on April 7.
  • Christopher Alfredo Sandoval, 20, was charged with felony flee to elude, felony possession of marijuana and speeding on April 7.
  • Gabriel Daza-Donjuan, 21, was charged with possession of up to 0.5 ounces of marijuana and possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia on April 7.
