In Salisbury Police Department reports:

  • A larceny occurred in the 800 block of West Jake Alexander Boulevard between 8:30 p.m. on April 4 and 7:54 a.m. on April 5. The total estimated loss was $390.
  • A hit and run causing property damage occurred in the 800 block of North Jackson Street at 10:59 a.m. on April 5.
  • Possession of heroin or opium derivatives occurred in the 700 block of Lincolnton Road at 2:40 p.m. on April 5.
  • A larceny of automobile accessories occurred in the 200 block of Faith Road between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. on April 5. The total estimated loss was $50.
  • A hit and run causing property damage occurred in the 400 block of North Main Street between 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. on April 5.
  • Shoplifting occurred in the 700 block of East Innes Street at 4:10 p.m. on April 5. The total estimated loss was $13.
  • Miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 600 block of Linn Lane between 5 p.m. on April 4 and 6 p.m. on April 5.
  • Discharging a firearm occurred in the 1100 block of Locke Street at 11:30 p.m. on April 5. Reports indicate that police recovered one 5.56 mm shell casing as evidence.
  • A larceny occurred in the 1300 block of Tabernacle Street at 3:55 a.m. on April 6. The total estimated oss was $600.
  • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 1400 block of Standish Street between 11 p.m. on April 5 and 6:40 a.m. on April 6.
  • Fraudulent currency was used in the 1400 block of Klumac Road at 1:48 p.m. on April 6. Reports indicate that 23 false $20 bills were used to buy products worth an estimated $449.33.
  • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 400 block of South Clay Street between 10:30 p.m. on April 6 and 9 a.m. on April 7. The total estimated loss was $1,000.
  • A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 900 block of West Innes Street at 10:50 a.m. on April 7.
  • A larceny occurred in the 200 block of Pearl Street at 6 p.m. on April 5. It was reported on April 7.
  • A theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the 400 block of East Council Street between 11 a.m. and 11:25 a.m. on April 7.
  • Trespassing occurred in the 600 block of Mocksville Avenue at 5:40 p.m. on April 7.
  • A larceny occurred in the 500 block of East Cemetery Street between 10 p.m. on April 6 and 4:30 p.m. on April 7. The total estimated loss was $327.
  • Skyler Ludwig Morgenstern, 36, was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance; simple possession of schedule II, III, IV, V, or VI controlled substances; and possession of drug paraphernalia on April 5.
  • Alisha Renne Brinson, 38, was charged with adulterating of urine to defraud a drug or alcohol test on April 5.
  • Michael Anthony Lewis, 33, was charged with felony forgery of bank notes, felony obtaining property by false pretenses and possession of stolen goods on April 5.
  • Christopher Cortez Fleming, 29, was charged with second-degree trespassing on April 5.
  • Jennifer Lorrain Thomas, 44, was charged with second-degree trespassing on April 6.
  • Efrem Pernell Gaither, 61, was charged with second-degree trespassing on April 6.
  • Erica Marie Moser, 40, was charged with second-degree trespassing on April 6.
  • Keondra Monye Matthews, 27, was charged with second-degree trespassing and larceny on April 7.
  • Marcell Abraham, 49, was charged with second-degree trespassing on April 7.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

  • A larceny occurred in the 2200 block of London Road at 10:02 a.m. on April 4. The total estimated loss was $1,200.
  • A larceny from a building occurred in the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 601 between 5:30 p.m. on April 3 and 10:18 a.m. on April 4. The total estimated loss was $329.
  • Credit card fraud occurred in the 500 block of East Ridge Road between 5:30 p.m. on April 2 and 2:30 p.m. on April 3. It was reported on April 4.
  • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 800 block of Fox Hollow Lane between noon on March 22 and 9:27 a.m. on April 5. The total estimated loss was $800, which reports indicate was a Beretta .40 caliber handgun.
  • Stolen property was recovered in the 1200 block of Long Ferry Road at 12:24 p.m. on April 5.
  • A larceny of automobile accessories occurred at South Main Street at 2:55 p.m. on April 5.
  • A larceny occurred at N.C. Highway 801 between midnight on April 1 and 9 a.m. on April 5.
  • Identity theft occurred in the 800 block of Brown Acres Road between midnight on April 5, 2011 and 4:23 p.m. on April, 2024.
  • An assault with hands, feet or fist occurred in the 300 block of Chamblee Drive at 7 a.m. on April 3.
  • Vandalism occurred in the 500 block of Mahaffey Drive at 12:02 a.m. on April 6.
  • Possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia occurred at Antler Way between 10:20 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. on April 6.
  • Shooting into occupied property occurred at Charolais Drive between 6:20 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. on April 6. Reports indicate that a bullet was fired into a home, hitting and breaking an empty fish aquarium. Captain Mark McDaniel, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, said that deputies investigated and believe that the shooting was an accidental incident and not a targeted attack.
  • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred at Ellen Street between 7:01 p.m. on March 30 and 6:45 p.m. on April 6.
  • Cody Allen Nichols, 30, was charged with displaying a fictitious tag or license plate on April 4.
  • David Lee Chambers Jr., 23, was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny of a firearm on April 4.
  • Curtis Bernard Duckworth, 36, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, felony breaking and entering a building and larceny after breaking and entering on April 4. Duckworth was charged in relation to a burglary that occurred on August 2, 2023, where two bolt-action shotguns were stolen, according to reports.
  • William Shannon Williams, 45, was charged with a felony probation violation out of county on April 4.
  • Andrew Jones, 35, was charged with possessing stolen goods on April 4.
  • Samuel David Griffin, 37, was charged with felony stalking on April 4.
  • Brian Kelley, 45, was charged with misuse of the 911 emergency telephone system and impersonation of a law enforcement or other public officer on April 4.
  • Maria Magadalena Barrera-Rios, 28, was charged with two counts of child abuse on April 5.
  • Kyle Allen Bennett Sr., 34, was charged with communicating threats; two counts of resisting, obstructing and delaying an officer; and a probation violation out of county on April 5.
