Faith Academy Charter School announced the completion of its brand-new playground equipment, donated by retired Faith School teacher, Sharon Miller, and her brother, Bobby Miller.

For the past three years since its inception, the students of Faith Academy have waited for the opportunity to enjoy a playground facility. With the support from the Millers, the school’s dream has now become a reality.

“As a former teacher at Faith School, I understand the importance of providing students with opportunities for play and recreation. My brother and I are delighted to give back to the Faith community and contribute to the school’s mission of nurturing well-rounded individuals,” said Sharon Miller

The new playground equipment not only provides a safe and engaging space for the students to play and socialize but could also enhance their overall educational experience. Research has shown that physical activity is crucial for children’s development, promoting better concentration, improved mood and enhanced cognitive skills. By having access to the playground, Faith Academy students will enjoy the benefits of a well-rounded education that fosters both academic and physical growth.

“We are immensely grateful to Sharon Miller and Bobby Miller for their incredible generosity in making this playground possible,” said Alison Moore, lead administrator of Faith Academy Charter School. “Their dedication to the well-being and happiness of our students is truly inspiring. This playground will not only be a place of joy and laughter but also a symbol of community support and collaboration.”

The playground equipment features structures designed to accommodate children of all ages and abilities, ensuring that every student can participate in the fun. With slides, climbing structures, interactive music stations and more, the playground could provide hours of enjoyment for Faith Academy’s vibrant student body.

The completion of the new playground equipment marks an achievement for Faith Academy Charter School and its students. The donation from retired teacher, Sharon Miller, and her brother, Bobby Miller has provided an asset that could enhance the educational experience and well-being of the entire school community.

The donation provided a significant contribution to the Faith Academy Charter School Capital Campaign, “Building Faith for Future Leaders.” To learn more about the campaign, go to www.faithacademync.org/capital-campaign.
