SPENCER — The N.C. Museum of Dolls, Toys & Miniatures and the First Community Center of Spencer are proud to announce their participation in Rowan County’s monthly Second Saturdays shopping extravaganza. This collaboration expands the list of nonprofits joining forces to create a vibrant shopping experience for the community.

Every second Saturday of the month, visitors to the Doll, Toy & Miniature Museum will be treated to a treasure trove of items available for browsing and purchase. The museum, fueled by donations from supporters across the country, has expanded its reach to a larger offsite location for sorting and housing these generous contributions. The newly discovered location, conveniently situated in the basement of the First Community Center of Spencer, just blocks from the museum, offers an enhanced shopping experience for patrons.

Shoppers can explore a diverse array of items each Saturday, from dolls, toys, and miniatures at the museum to household items, vintage jewelry, furniture and miscellaneous treasures at the First Community Center. The collaboration between the two nonprofits, alongside other Rowan County organizations such as the Rowan Museum, the Ice House, Friends of the Rowan Public Library, as well as various small businesses and artists, exemplifies the strength of unity in promoting cultural and artistic endeavors within the community.

“A huge success for the museum and the community center will prove more so in the months to come,” said Kathy Gregg, a museum member, and Super Saturday volunteer. “We have a wonderful board and volunteers, and it is a passion for me to see the museum succeed.”

Funds raised from the Super Saturday Sales contribute to supporting the missions of each participating nonprofit, further reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the initiative.

For those who wish to support the N.C. Museum of Dolls, Toys & Miniatures without attending the Super Saturday Sale, memberships can be renewed or purchased at ncmdtm.org or by calling the museum. Donations are always welcome; contact 704-762-9359 for more information.
