Christmas comes to Cleveland

CLEVELAND — Residents of western Rowan County got in on the holiday spirit during the Cleveland Christmas Parade on Saturday.

The event drew hundreds of spectators to Main Street as tractors, big rigs, ATVs, golf carts, horses and marching bands made their way through town. 

The Cleveland Lions Club organizes the parade and provides a series of judges for various categories of entrants. Parade judges included Olivia Morgan of Cleveland, Stephanie McClannon of Cleveland, Lions District Governor Kathy Poirier of Concord and Lion Sandy Fraiser-Thomas from Salisbury. 

The parade announcer was Lion Terry Moore.
