SALISBURY — A 52-year-old Poole Road resident was found dead in a shop below his apartment Wednesday afternoon and the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is treating the death as a homicide.

Deputies said an associate of David Kenneth Land found his body in a large shop at 3125 Poole Road about 5 p.m. and immediately called 911. When the first deputies arrived, they called in criminal investigators, who began to process the scene.
