Catawba Hall of Famer Oxendine dies

Ray Oxendine, of Maxton, died at 85 on Tuesday.
He captained Catawba College football and baseball teams in the early 1960s and later served as head baseball coach of the Indians.
He is in the Catawba College Sports Hall of Fame and the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame.
