SALISBURY — A Salisbury woman was charged this week after allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old girl engaged in a fight with her daughters, according to Salisbury Police spokesman Lt. Lee Walker.

Latriese Donnelle Wallace, 34, faces felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. The incident occurred on May 23, but police said a warrant for her arrest was served early Thursday morning.

The victim, a 15-year-old girl, told police she was accused of posting inappropriate pictures and rude comments on social media app, Instagram, about Wallace’s daughter.

At some point, the victim and Wallace’s two daughters, both 15 years old, got into a physical altercation. Police said Wallace took a pipe and hit the victim over the head. The girl had a cut to her head and was taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center for treatment.

The juveniles have not been cited or charged in this incident.

Wallace was issued a $15,000 secured bond and remains in the Rowan County Detention Center.
