Letter: Thomas right to call Trump out

Cal Thomas hit the nail on the head with his comments published on Sunday’s opinion pages about “snake oil” being peddled from the White House occupant. Not only has the titular leader of the U.S. touted the use of a drug the Food and Drug Administration says can be harmful to your health, he says that he, himself, is taking it. We were extremely alarmed when he talked about ingesting liquid bleach to clean one’s body of the coronavirus and putting ultraviolet light inside our bodies.

The worst downside of all of his quack medicine talk is there are too many people who follow him blindly and try to do his bidding, causing harm to themselves and others. There is leadership, and there is leadership down the wrong path such as that of a malicious gang leader. Anyone who would tout harmful medical advice is the wrong kind of leader for a once powerful country like the US.
