Letter: Grocery stores should require protective gear
Dear Food Lion, Harris Teeter and Aldi, why do you allow employees and customers to work and shop in your stores without personal protective equipment?
All should be required to wear masks and gloves. Provide any customers not already equipped with the proper gear when entering the store (add a buck at checkout).
Food Lion, being a Salisbury company, should take the lead on this issue.
All three need to protect employees and customers. Any customer refusing to abide by these rules should be denied admittance.
This goes for any other retail store as well (looking at you Lowe’s).
