Letter: Why no public comments, limb pickup in Landis?

Published 12:00 am Sunday, April 26, 2020

As a Landis resident, I was saddened that I would not be allowed to attend the board of aldermen meeting Monday night.

As I usually do, I had a comment I wanted read during citizen’s comment. One of the options we had was to put it in the dropbox by 3 p.m. Monday. This I did. Even before putting it in the box, I wrote the time on the envelope before dropping it in the box. It never got read during the meeting. Why not?

Who did not check the box to see if there had been any comments dropped in the box?

Lastly, I would like to know why public works employees can hide around town and not do their jobs such as picking up limbs. Right now, I have limbs placed in the proper place to be picked up, but they have been laying there several days, killing my grass.
