Letter: Bailout should be for people, not companies

The U.S. Congress is discussing another bailout of corporate America to what end?

Banks, Wall Street, automakers and now airlines and the cruise industry? They all received major tax breaks last year and were to pass those breaks down to employees. Some did. Most did not. Those monies were used to buy back their own stocks and give corporate management bonuses. Enough of this already.

This bailout should start bottom up: the poor, sick, unemployed, elderly, small businesses and people whose blood, sweat and tears made the corporate juggernaut possible.

Write or call your US Senators or Congressman and tell them people first.
