Letter: No communication on what’s next in Woodleaf
In July, a question was asked as to the future of Woodleaf School. At that time, it had not been voted on but a possible park was in the works. Now, six months have passed and still no communication of a plan and demolition has begun.
Community members are trying to get memorabilia from the school and are being ran off for trespassing — some trying to retrieve hand prints painted when they were students and others are searching for time capsules. Then, there are those just trying to preserve a memory before it is destroyed after being exposed to weather during demolition.
Why is it so hard to communicate what is going on? If you don’t have a plan, maybe we, the community members, have a suggestion.
