Fifth Sunday service at Guiding Light
KANNAPOLIS — The Guiding Light Missionary Baptist Association will hold Fifth Sunday service at United Baptist Church in Kannapolis on Sunday, at 11 a.m. The association moderator is Rev. John E. Jones.

Fairview Heights to honor pastor and first lady
A pre-anniversary Service will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m at Fairview Heights Baptist Church.
Guest speakers will be Pastor Ricky Johnson of Antioch Baptist Church of Granite Quarry; Rev. Virginia Brown from Word of Life Church, Salisbury; Rev. Christopher Sherrill , Cedar Grove AME Zion Church in Cleveland;
Rev. Mary Ann Kelly, Shiloh Baptist Church of Badin; and Pastor Bradley Taylor of the Reach Church in Salisbury.
Cedar Grove’s Praise Team will lead praise and worship. Host pastor is Rev. Clarence Marlin.

Combined Watch Night service
A combined Watch Night service will be held at Henderson Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday, Dec. 31, beginning at 10:30 p.m. Breakfast will be served after midnight. The guest speaker will be Rev. Tiffany Miller, associate minister of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. The host pastor is Rev. Perry J. Dye.

Mt Zion Watch Night service
New Year’s Eve Watch Night Service at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1920 Shirley Ave., begins at 10:30 p.m. and includes the Creative Expression Ministry, music by the Mount Zion music ministry and messages by the associate ministers.
Entry into the New Year will be led by Dr. Nilous M. Avery II, host pastor.

Pray Rowan meets Jan. 4
