… Rowan-Cabarrus would include space for early college

Way to show our youth democracy in action. They are very much in need of a new facility. Allowing them to advocate for themselves and see the process unfold is so vital. Now, we as a community can’t fail them.

You guys need to come together as a whole community and help seek justice for Michael. That was someone’s son, future husband and friend. What if that was your son? Your other half? Your friend? Would you just sit back then?

— Kristin Stauffer

RSS has had its priorities in the wrong place for years. The proposed Band-Aid for Knox is the latest example. Now is the time to build a completely new school to replace Knox and Overton and see how the K-8 concept will work.

Letter: Bishop wrong to call for identifying whistleblower

In this case, protecting the identity of the whistleblower is a tool Rep. Adam Schiff is using to make the kangaroo impeachment inquiry waters even more muddied than they inherently are.

It is a moot point because his identity has already been revealed.

North Carolina lawmakers redraw congressional map

This map continues to have Salisbury and Rowan County in a predominately politically gerrymandered district. Independently drawn maps are required for a fair election.

Letter: School board can do better than closure

As a grandmother of an Overton student and a resident of Eagle Heights, I do not pay my large tax bill to have a good school with good teachers close down. There is no reason to move away from the K-8 option previously discussed.

Letter: Bitter taste after meal in downtown Salisbury

There’s a sign posted at the parking lot in question. Go Burrito has posted a flier at the door warning patrons. It has also posted on social media.

It’s a deplorable situation, but the owner has chosen to begin towing cars parked. Not something in the realm of control of Go Burrito or other Salisbury businesses.
