SALISBURY – Downtown’s Holiday Night Out will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 29 in the 100 block of East Fisher Street.

It will be home to live music, snowballs, activities for kids, as well as downtown dining and shopping.

Candice Brown, of Downtown Salisbury Inc., said participants should look forward to “snowball fights” and hot cocoa.

“People can also look forward to carolers strolling throughout downtown and the possibility of a few downtown shops staying open late,” Brown said.

Victorian Voices, based in Lewisville, and Colton Sherrill will be singing carols as well, said Brown.

“There will be a snow machine available for use and little snowballs available that kids can have a nice time with. Last year, they had a lot of fun with that,” Brown said.

Downtown Salisbury’s website said those who attend Holiday Night Out can look forward to enjoying holiday deals at downtown businesses, as well as horse and carriage rides.

Brown said those looking to attend should “bundle up” and prepare for cold weather.

“Aside from that, everything is totally free. The hot cocoa may be for sale, but all of the activities and carriage rides will be for free.”

Brown said she plans to bring her daughter, Brooklyn, to Holiday Night Out.

“She loves this event. Last year’s event was probably the best night her and I had,” Brown said. “The snow was really incredible, the carriage rides were a lot of fun. Overall it was a good family-friendly event.”

Brown said she is anticipating the upcoming holiday season and being able to spend time with her family.
