Biz Roundup: Power in Partnership breakfast is Thursday

Janet LaBar, president and CEO of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, will be the speaker at the Rowan Chamber of Commerce’s Power in Partnership breakfast on Thursday.

The breakfast will be at 7:30 a.m. at Trinity Oaks, 728 Klumac Road.

LaBar is a seasoned regional economic development leader with strong communication, strategy and operations skills, according to the chamber.

Before joining the alliance in April, LaBar held the same position at Greater Portland Inc., a regional public-private partnership that markets the Greater Portland metropolitan area .

LaBar was selected as president of the alliance after a four-month national search.

The registration deadline for the breakfast is noon Tuesday. The cost is $15 for chamber members and $25 for nonmembers.
