Rowan weather: Chilly weekend

Thanks to the clouds last night, it’s not quite as cold as it has been.

Today will be cloudy, too, with a high near 50. A 30 percent chance of rain is possible after 10 a.m. Winds will be north northeast at 5-8 mph.

Tonight brings a 50 percent chance of rain, with cloudy skies and a low of 37. Winds will be north northeast at 9-11 mph, with gusts to 21 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy and cooler, with a high of just 44. We’ll still have a 50 percent chance of rain, but with less than a tenth of an inch likely. Winds will be stronger, again from the north northeast, at 14-16 mph, with gusts up to 26 mph.

The chance of rain goes down to 20 percent Saturday night, mainly before 11 p.m. It will be partly cloudy and 31, with north wind at 11-15 mph, and gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and 52, with north wind at 6-11 mph, busting to 21 mph. Sunday night will be mostly cloudy and 34.

Monday will be partly sunny and 55, with a mostly cloudy night and a low around 35.

Tuesday will be slightly warmer, with a high of 57 and partly sunny skies. The low will be 35, with cloudy skies.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny and 59; the low will be 34, with partly cloudy skies.
