Pete Branblett, owner of The Best Paint Co. of Rockwell, was driving past Hudson-Miller-Tatum Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3006 on Brenner Avenue recently and noticed that the UH-1 Huey helicopter out front was in need of a paint job.
So he offered to paint the chopper free of charge.
The job took 2 gallons of black paint and 5 gallons of olive drab green paint.
The VFW post plans
to have markings and details stenciled on to complete the restoration.
