It took fire crews about 15 minutes to get a Wednesday morning house fire under control. Officials confirmed five people were displaced after a fire overtook the home, located at 1025 Barbour St.

A neighbor called to report the fire at the single-story home. The caller said they could see smoke and flames coming from the home. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.

Fire investigators remained on the scene and the investigation continues. No cause has been determined as of Thursday, said Fire Marshal Terry Smith.

The American Red Cross was asked to assist the displaced people.
