Letter: Good samaritan helped during heart attack

On Aug. 28 between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m., my husband, Johnny, suffered a stroke in the parking lot of Biscuitville on Jake Alexander Boulevard.

My understanding is that a customer going in noticed him and, leaving Biscuitville, noticed that he was still sitting in his vehicle and appeared to be unresponsive.

Not knowing the full details, I believe that this Good Samaritan called 911 and Johnny was taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center’s emergency room and subsequently airlifted to Novant Presbyterian in Charlotte.

Had it not been for the quick actions of the good samaritan, this event could have had a different ending.

Johnny is recovering, busy with therapy and dealing with the changes in his life.

May God bless this good samaritan, and thank you for what you did.
