Letter: Kannapolis councilman endorses three

The November election is just around the corner, and the field of candidates is wide in Kannapolis. If you are undecided on who to vote for, I’d love to introduce you to my friend, Darrell Jackson.

Kannapolis is at a critical stage in our revitalization project. In voting for city council members to lead our community, I steer toward candidates who bring experience to the table. Darrell has served on city council during the downtown purchase and development of the revitalization plan. This institutional knowledge will be invaluable. It gives him the tools to move quickly in making critical decisions by knowing our past plans.

I cannot endorse a candidate more strongly for the vacant council seat that I am leaving than I endorse Darrell Jackson.

He is the right man in the right place at the right time. Every community should be lucky enough to have Darrell fighting for it. In Kannapolis, it’s not luck — it’s an easy choice!

I, again, stress the critical importance of experience in moving Kannapolis forward at this time. For the same reason, I also endorse Tom Kincaid and Ryan Dayvault for re-election to City Council as well.

These three candidates will be best suited to move Kannapolis forward through this exciting and critical time in our city.
