Police: Man killed in five-vehicle collision near Woodleaf Lanes

SALISBURY — Police say a man was killed Sunday evening following a five-vehicle collision, which included a motorcycle, on West Jake Alexander Boulevard near Woodleaf Lanes.

The Salisbury Fire Department, Rowan Rescue, Rowan EMS and Salisbury Police responded at 5:42 p.m. to an accident in the 1800 block of Jake Alexander Boulevard.

Two adults and one child were taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center with unknown conditions.

Police said an adult male died at the scene. His name is being withheld pending notification of his nearest relative. The roadway was still closed at 8:30 p.m. as investigators reconstruct the accident scene. The Salisbury Police Department is being assisted by the China Grove Police Department.
