KAA-MaCC sixth Anniversary Celebration Gala Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

KANNAPOLIS — Mayor Al Heggins will be he Mistress of Ceremonies for the KAA-MaCC 6th Anniversary Celebration Weekend,
Gala Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony On Oct. 12.
“Continuing the Quest for History Untold” is the theme of the Kannapolis African-American Museum and Cultural Center Inc. event. Individuals from Cabarrus and Rowan County will be recognized for their significant contributions to society of lasting value and impact in their respective endeavors.
Special musical guest is Gene Clout, of Atlanta.
The annual gala will take place at the Laureate Center, 401 Laureate Way.
This event begins at 3:30 p.m. with a reception and silent auction, followed by the induction ceremony at 5 p.m.
Honorees include Shirley O. Galimore of Brooklyn, N.Y.; the late William T. “Jimmy” Murphey; the late Wilma Steepleton Lindsay; and the late Dr. Katie Geneva Cannon.
