It’s already warm and muggy, and we’ll have a high of 86 today, with partly sunny skies. Winds will be east northeast at 3-5 mph. The stagnant air will lead to a Code Yellow air quality day for both ozone and particle pollution.

Later on, we’ll have a 20 percent chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms, moving east from the mountains. Frequent lightning and heavy downpours are possible.

Those showers and storms will taper off around 9 p.m., then it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 67 and light east wind. Expect patchy fog after 2 a.m.

Tuesday will start with fog, then be mostly cloudy before clearing and reaching a high of 85. Winds will be calm. The low will be 66, with mostly clear skies and calm wind.

Wednesday heats up to 93, with sunny skies and light wind. The low will be 68, with mostly clear skies.

We could break a record Thursday, when it will be sunny and 94. It will be a mostly clear night, with a low around 68.

Friday will be mostly sunny and 86. A mostly clear night will have a low of 54.

Then we get a taste of fall Saturday, which will be mostly sunny and 74. The low will be 53, with partly cloudy skies.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and 76.
