City of Kannapolis receives communications, marketing awards
KANNAPOLIS — The city of Kannapolis was recognized for communications and marketing with two national Savvy awards at the annual 3CMA Conference in Denver on Sept. 5.
The City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA) is the nation’s top professional group for government communication and marketing professionals.
In conjunction with the group’s annual conference, the Savvy Awards recognize local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and government-resident relationships.
Kannapolis received two Silver Circle Awards competing with cities across the nation with populations of 85,000 and fewer.
Marketing for the groundbreaking for the city’s downtown sports and entertainment venue won the Silver Circle Award in the one-time event category.
The city received a Silver Circle Award in the printed publication category for its Village Park brochure.
“To win two national awards is quite an honor for our city,” Director of Communications Annette Privette Keller said. “We love the work we do to keep people informed about the services we provide and the great things happening in Kannapolis.”
More than 7,000 entries in 40 categories were received.
