CONCORD – Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers, a preventative and primary health care clinic, has announced that Will Thompson is its new chief financial officer.

Thompson joined the clinic four years ago as a staff accountant and was promoted to comptroller.

As CFO, he will direct all financial activities and advise the CEO in meeting or exceeding financial and strategic objectives of the organization, while providing direction to the staff of the finance and accounting department.

Before joining the clinic, Thompson worked for two years in the financial business partnering division of Maersk Lines. He graduated in 2012 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting.

“We are very excited that Mr. Thompson will be assuming more responsibility with our executive team. With his knowledge of community health finance and CRCHC, he will be an asset in propelling CRCHC,” said Don Holloman, chief executive officer.

Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers is a community-based nonprofit organization founded in 2003 and dedicated to improving the health of community residents.

It serves more than 9,000 clients annually with primary care and behavioral health services without regard for a patient’s ability to pay.
