The Department of Transportation contractor has some night work scheduled for the I-85 Rowan County project.

On Thursday morning  around midnight the contractor will close the westbound direction of N.C. 152 which includes access to U.S. 29 just west of I-85 to install an overhead sign. Work should be completed by 5 a.m. 

 The traffic needing to use  U.S. 29 or N.C. 152 will follow the signed detour route:

To access U.S. 29 South: Use the roundabout at Power Street  to access Power Street. Travel 1/2 mile to U.S. 29 South. Turn left onto U.S. 29 South.

To access N.C. 152 West: Use the roundabout at Power Street  to access Power Street. Travel 1/2 mile to U.S. 29 South. Turn left onto U.S. 29 South. Continue South on U.S. 29 for a 1/2 mile. Turn right onto Church Street /N.C. 152 West.

 To access U.S. 29 North: Use the roundabout at Power Street  to access Power Street. Travel 1/2 mile to U.S. 29 South. Turn left onto U.S. 29 South. Continue south on U.S. 29 for a 1/2 mile. Turn right onto Church Street /N.C. 152 West. Travel approximately 1/2  mile to Main Street. Turn right onto Main Street and travel 1 mile to U.S. 29 North.
