KERNERSVILLE – South Rowan’s Noah Julian ran 16:51 in the Friday Night Lights Cross County Festival held at Ivey Redmon Park.

Julian finished second out of 258 runners in the boys invitational race.

Forsyth Country Day’s Will Scott won in 16:47.

South’s team placed fifth. Landon Cromer ran 18:41. Ian Waugh ran 18:47. Trent Rivers was clocked in 19:22, while Nolan Miller ran 19:29.

Davie’s Nate Brooks placed eighth in 17:19 and led the War Eagles to third place. Lincoln Charter won. Oak Grove finished fourth.

In the girls race, Madison McGuire ran 23:04 and was 38th to lead South Rowan.

Emerson Frantz ran 20:30, placed third and led Davie to the team championship.
