Pinewood Derby at the Fair
Rowan County Fair and Sapona Scouts have teamed up to focus on youth in the county by having a Pine Wood Derby on Sept. 22 at the fairgrounds. There will be a scout race and two outlaw races for preteens, teens and adults.
Trophies for all races and also for non-speed winners will be awarded. Learn more at rowancountyfair.net

 

Rowan Redbuds

AAUW fall meetings begin
AAUW (American Association of University Women), Salisbury branch meets at 6:30 p.m. on second Thursdays, September-June.
Locations vary and will be included when events are announced in the Salisbury Post Time Out section.
Outlook Readers book discussion group meets 10:30 a.m. second Tuesdays September-June in the Card Room, Trinity Oaks Retirement Center, 728 Klumac Road.

Doggie Dip Swim Party

1-2:30 p.m. – small dogs (less than 25 lbs.)
2:30-4 p.m. – medium dogs (26-50 lbs.)
